Muzaffarpur shelter home sex scandal: SC summons Bihar DGP

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has summoned the Bihar DGP to explain why former minister Manju Verma had not been arrested in the Muzaffarpur shelter home scandal.

New Delhi, November 12

The Supreme Court on Monday summoned the Bihar DGP, asking him to appear in person on November 27, to explain why former minister Manju Verma had not been arrested in connection with the recovery of ammunition from her house in connection with the Muzaffarpur shelter home sex scandal.

A Bench headed by Justice Madan B Lokur also summoned the Bihar Chief Secretary in connection with the case. The Chief Secretary too has been asked to appear before the top court on November 27.
