The alliance partners of the NDA jointly released their list of 39 candidates out of the 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bihar, while Ram Vilas Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) is yet to announce the name of its candidate for Khagaria.

Shatrughan Sinha failed to retain his seat of Patna as he has been replaced by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in the BJP list of candidates for the general election released on Saturday.

It is believed that Shatrughan failed to retain his seat as he had been a disgruntled MP sharing stage with the opposition.

Shatrughan also accused Narendra Modi and Amit Shah of not treating its veterans well.

Sinha, in a series of tweets, said while he was capable of answering back on what has been done to him, the treatment meted to senior leaders in the party, veteran LK Advani who was dropped from the Gandhinagar constituency in favour of Shah, Yashwant Sinha, Murli Manohar Joshi and Arun Shourie, “smacked of ingratitude”.

Calling Advani a “father figure”, he said “no one can approve of such a treatment to a father figure”

“What you and your people have done with me, is still tolerable.  I'm able and capable of answering your people back in the same coin. Remember Newton's third law...every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And I am capable of paying back...

“But having done the same to stalwarts like, to begin with respected, Shri Yashwant Sinha ji, followed by most learned Arun Shourie one of the top builders of the party, Shri Murli Manohar Joshi ji & now last but not the least, Shri.L.K.Advaniji smacks of ingratitude”.

“Nonetheless, people are watching at this hour, to give a befitting reply for all this that is being done by the one man show & 2 men Army company. Long Live Shri. Advaniji! Jai Hind!,” he wrote

Union Minister Giriraj Singh succeeded in bagging the BJP ticket from Begusarai. He had won the 2014 Lok Sabha seat from Nawada. The BJP also reposed its faith in RK Singh from Arrah, Ashwani Kumar Chaubey from Buxar and Radha Mohan Singh from East Champaran.

The JD-U also reposed faith in sitting MPs Kaushalendra Kumar from Nalanda and Santosh Kushwaha from Purnea.

LJP state chief Pashupati Kumar Paras will contest from Hajipur. Party national chief Ram Vilas Paswan had bagged the seat during the last election.
