Party unlikely to act against rebel Sinha

New Delhi, January 20

Despite open challenges by Patna Sahib MP Shatrughan Sinha, the BJP is unlikely to take any disciplinary action against him or make him a “martyr”, a status he seems to be aiming for while exploring political options with its opponents — the RJD and the Congress.

Though many agree that yesterday Sinha went “too far” and it was time he was officially shown the door, it seems the BJP is not in a mood to give him any “further political mileage at the cost of the party”.

Sinha, who yesterday raised the heckles of the top leadership via presence at Mamata Banerjee’s rally,  today lauded the Trinamool Congress chief. Sources say he is readying to contest the next polls on a RJD or a Congress ticket. — TNS
