A Supreme Airlines plane on way from Jaipur to Sriganganagar with seven passengers and two pilots on board overshot the runway at Lalgarh on Tuesday evening.

The airstrip was only 3,000 ft long and the aircraft hit the boundary wall after it overshot the runway.

No one was injured. There was no severe damage to any property, including the aircraft.

The flight operates daily from Monday to Saturday. It took off from the Jaipur International Airport around 4 pm and the mishap occurred around 5.30 pm. People rushed from nearby areas to the spot.

Pilots have reported the plane overshot due to the presence of birds on the runway. DGCA (Air Safety) has been informed and they shall further investigate for facts, according to Ammeet K Agarwal, president and CEO of Supreme Airlines.

Any other news of fire or damage is hoax and there’s no reason to panic, the CEO added.
