Rawel Pushp, a Kolkata-based Sikh journalist, has received the first prize in a mobile-photography contest organised by a Hindi journal here.
The photo taken by Pushp of a specially-abled person in Kolkata seeking alms from people while wearing a mask in accordance with the government instructions has fetched the first prize in the “Quarantine Mobile Photography Contest” organised by Hindi journal “Sadinama” published from Kolkata.
Pushp (69), whose parents had come to India from West Punjab (Lasuri village in Falia tehsil of Gujrat district) following the partition in 1947, is also a poet.
His works include “Purbi Bharat Di Panjabi Kobita”, a collection of poems written by Pushp in Punjabi language.
