New Delhi, October 18
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s chopper had to abort its landing in Delhi due to bad weather on Friday and had to later land in Haryana’s Rewari from where he undertook a road journey back to Delhi.
Gandhi’s office clarified the matter after speculation that his helicopter developed a technical snag and could not therefore land in Delhi.
“In response to numerous speculations over the issue, this is to clarify that Rahul Gandhi's helicopter was forced to abort its landing in Delhi this evening due to bad weather and not due to a technical snag. It later landed safely in Rewari from where Gandhi is on his way back to Delhi by road,” former Congress president’s office said.
In Rewari, Gandhi was seen playing cricket with local kids and also posed for photgraphs with them.
Gandhi was in Haryana today to address a poll rally in Mahendragarh.
