Mumbai, October 21

A galaxy of bigwigs from politics, Bollywood and India Inc joined the young and old in exercising franchise in Mumbai. Prominent voters included RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, CM Devendra Fadnavis, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, former President Pratibha Patil and MNS chief Raj Thackeray.

Mumbai’s polling booths saw several Bollywood celebrities come out to vote. Actor Riteish Deshmukh and wife Genelia cast their vote in Latur district, where Amit and Dheeraj, brothers of Ritesh, are contesting as Congress candidates.

Highest turnout Karveer (Kolhapur) 83.20%

Lowest  turnout   Colaba (Mumbai) 40.20%
