Suspecting him of carrying beef, bikers attack Nuh meat supplier in Gurugram on Eid eve

In what has led to tension on Eid eve, a meat supplier was allegedly attacked by a group of unidentified bikers in Sadar bazar area here.

The accused reportedly suspected him of carrying beef and allegedly kidnapped him in his own vehicle. It was only when the police chased the vehicle the accused fled, leaving it behind in Bhondsi area.  

An FIR has been registered and the victim is being treated in a private hospital. The police have sent meat for analysis.

According to the police, the incident happened on Friday when Nuh resident Lukman came to supply meat to one Tahir in meat market, Gurugram. The group of bikers surrounded Lukman in trunk market behind mosque and attacked him with sticks and iron rods. They kidnapped him in his vehicle and drove it towards Sohna road. But in meantime, Lukman informed his brother over phone.

After getting information, the police swung into action and barricaded Sohna road. The accused fled leaving the victim with his vehicle after seeing police at the 'naka'. The victim was injured and rushed to the Civil Hospital from where he was referred to Artemis hospital.

“An FIR has been registered at Badshahpur police station. We are investigating from all angles and conducting raids to nab the unidentified accused,” said Sub-Inspector Rohtash, the investigating officer.
