Amarendar Rao is a close relative of local MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar and was working as a lawyer with a senior advocate Hanumantha Rao, who is the father of the MLA. He was a resident of Housing board colony in Jagitial town.
Police said that Shreya’s marriage was scheduled for May 21 and the family had decided to go for a pilgrimage as part of thanksgiving and to pray for a happy married life.
According to sources, the four left their home around 4.30 am but as the car was crossing the SRSP canal the driver lost control, as a result, the car veered off the road, fell into the SRSP Canal and sank.
