The Hyderabad Police on Friday shot dead all four men who were suspected of raping and killing a 27-year-old veterinarian, drawing applause from her family and citizens outraged over crimes against women.

November 27, 2019: Hyderabad vet visits a dermatologist in Tondupalli; four accused allegedly abduct her from near toll plaza and gang-rape her

November 28: Her charred body is found at a nearby underpass and is identified by her family from her locket and a scarf

November 29: The four accused arrested by cops amid nationwide anger against the gruesome rape-murder

November 30: The accused are remanded in 14-day judicial custody

December 1: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao orders setting up of a fast-track court to try the accused

December 5: A special investigation team takes custody of the accused for further investigation

December 6: All the accused gunned down in an encounter with the police after one of them allegedly snatches a police rifle at the crime scene where they had been taken for investigation
