New Delhi, December 5
The Rajya Sabha on Thursday condemned the Unnao incident with Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu stressing on sending out a strong message that such crimes against women were unacceptable.
The House witnessed two adjournments amid an uproar by Opposition parties.
Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan said the incident depicted the law and order situation was “very bad” in UP. Congress’ Viplove Thakur said the incident was a stigma on society and there was a need to think where society was headed. — TNS
