Patiala: The district on Saturday reported 10 deaths due to Covid, taking the toll to 154. Three of the victims were from Patiala city, two each from Rajpura, Samana and Dudhan Sadhan, while one was from Nabha town. Besides, 190 more persons tested positive for Covid-19, taking the district tally to 5,970. As per the health bulletin, 126 patients have succumbed to the virus in August. On the increase in the number of deaths, Civil Surgeon Dr Harish Malhotra said: “There is a delay in the detection of cases because people don’t cooperate with us in sampling. People also hide symptoms.” TNS
