Patiala, July 1
A woman of Ghanaur, Kazil Begum (28), was allegedly murdered by her husband on Tuesday night.
The police said she was hit on head by an agricultural tool. Her husband, identified as Lucky Muhammad, of Kami Khurd is absconding. The police said the couple has two daughters aged seven and nine.
Ghanaur Station House Officer Sukhwinder Singh said as per the statement of Shama, the victim’s mother, Lucky used to consume alcohol due to which the couple fought every now and then. He said the woman was attacked on the night of June 30 and was declared brought dead at the hospital.
The police have registered a case against the husband under Section 302(murder) of the IPC and efforts are on to nab him. — TNS
