The Lok Adalat here was held under the directions of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Chairman Arun Gupta. Gupta said 7,113 cases were presented here and 6,689 were settled.

DLSA Secretary Deepti Goyal said a permanent Lok Adalat worked here every day. She urged district residents to settle their disputes through this Lok Adalat as it served quick and cheap justice.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
