A walk down heritage lane to commemorate 257 years of Patiala

Patiala, February 14

A heritage walk was organised to commemorate 257 years of the existence of the Patiala city today. The walk began from Shahi Samadhan, moving through the Haveliwala mohalla, Chatta Nanumal, Bartan Bazaar, Sappanwali Gali, Darshini Gate and ended at the Qila Mubarak.

Organisers said the city had a rich heritage and a cultural history and the walk took the participants through various eras of the history related to each place.

Ravee Singh Ahluwalia of the Patiala Foundation sensitised the participants towards preserving the heritage by developing a sense of belongingness towards the city.
