The Khamano police registered the case against Devinder Singh under Sections 318(4), 338, 336(3) and 336(2) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.
As per the FIR, Ankita Dhawan, JMIC, stated that in a case State vs Amarjit Singh and others pending in her court, Krar Singh, a resident of Muzaffarnagar district in UP, was released on bail vide order dated May 29 this year on the condition of furnishing of surety of Rs 30,000.
She stated that on June 5, an application for accepting and attesting the bail bonds/surety bonds of the accused was moved before the court by Devinder Singh and was accepted as per rules. An intimation was sent to the Tehsildar concerned for giving a noting in the Jamabandi.
She said the court received a report from the Tehsildar that as per revenue records of Latour village, there was no record of ownership of Devinder Singh as mentioned in the surety bond. Besides, the valuation report allegedly pertaining to the office of Naib Tehsildar Chanarthal Kalan did not pertain to the office and the signatures on the report were forged. Moreover, there was no Patwari in Chanarthal Kalan by the name of Satnam Singh.
