Amid the polling of the Municipal election under way, unidentified miscreants on Sunday allegedly captured polling booth at DAV School polling station at Rajpura.

Around 40 miscreants entered the polling booth at around 11.30 am and closed the gate of the polling station to prevent voters from voting — despite the presence of the police there.

Amidst the chaos, police turned mute spectator.

Only after strong protest from one of the candidates, the police pulled out miscreants from the booths.

Polling had to stopped following the protests by one of the candidates and his supporters.
