Patiala: MP Dr Dharamavira Gandhi on Tuesday opposed the state government's decision to privatise 10 colleges in the name of turning them autonomous. He alleged it was aimed at benefiting corporate players.

Governor summons session of Vidhan Sabha from Sept 2

Chandigarh: The Governor has summoned the Vidhan Sabha to meet for its 7th session on September 2 from 2 pm onwards. A spokesperson said Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has summoned the House to meet in exercise of powers conferred on him by Article 174(1) of the Constitution.
