Judicial offices in Patiala to open from Monday

Patiala, October 9

Government departments, which remained closed due to Covid-19 pandemic, have now started opening and issuing protocols and calendars for functioning.

As per orders of office of the District and Sessions Judge, Patiala, judicial offices in the city will resume functioning from Monday. The courts of Additional District and Sessions Judges would take up criminal trial cases of accused in custody.

The District and Sessions Judge, Patiala, Rajinder Aggarwal, said, “Courts will be able to resume physical hearing on consent of all parties.”

Meanwhile, Punjabi University will now start Semester I classes for postgraduate courses from November 3. Vice-Chancellor (VC) stated that the second semester for new batches of postgraduate and undergraduate courses would begin from mid April and mid February, respectively.
