Patiala, December 1
The District Bar Association (DBA) after an emergency meeting has unanimously resolved to abstain from work on December 2. The decision is said to have been taken as a mark of protest against the judicial officers for their alleged objectionable behaviour. The DBA passed a resolution and said that behaviour of judicial officers was not respectful toward members of the Patiala Bar Association. “The derogatory remarks have been made in writing in some zimni orders against councils without any justification,” said the DBA. The association said they would bring the issue in the notice of Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. — TNS
