Patiala, July 31
Unsatisfied with measures taken to curb the spread of coronavirus, the Health Department issued ‘warning’ to a private hospital here today.
The warning came after 12 staff members of Amar Hospital tested positive for the virus on Friday. With this, 16 staff members of the said hospital have already tested positive for the virus.
The Patiala Civil Surgeon, Dr Harish Malhotra, said, “We have already sanitised the infected area of the hospital. Moreover, we have asked the hospital authorities to strictly comply with directions. If they fail to do so, we will seal the hospital.”
The Medical Superintendent, Amar Hospital, Jaskaran Sran, said, “We are strictly following the guidelines and isolated our staff after possible exposure to a positive patient.”
