Following the directions of Mayor Kundan Gogia and Municipal Commissioner Paramvir Singh, the civic body has intensified action against property tax defaulters.

A team led by Joint Commissioner Deepjot Kaur and Assistant Commissioner Ravdeep Singh today sealed a hotel in Heera Bagh and a liquor vend in Joginder Nagar for failing to pay property tax.

The Joint Commissioner informed that the hotel owners later deposited Rs 2.7 lakh, following which the hotel was unsealed in the evening.
