Vihaan’s coach Kamal Sandhu expressed his happiness and said this was not only a proud moment for Patiala, but for the entire Punjab, because the talented batter played a very significant role in India’s title win.

Vihaan scored 249 runs in the tournament and also took four crucial wickets in an important match against Bangladesh, paving the way for India’s win, he added.

Sandhu said while the credit goes to this gifted player, it was also the result of the dedication, hard work and sacrifices made by his parents — Manoj Malhotra and Poonam Malhotra — that Vihaan had achieved such a big milestone. He added that Vihaan Malhotra will be given a grand welcome on his return to Patiala.
