The Kuchipudi performance depicted various actions of the lord of dance along with the presentation of different emotions, including anger on the stage. The artistes moved with precision and danced with suppleness depicting various mudras.

The dance started from ‘swagat’ depicting greatness of the country. The dance troupe depicted unity of the country and importance of dance in Vedas. The troupe performed the Shiva ‘tandav’, ‘hulas’ and shiv ‘ardnarishwar’ through dance. They also danced on a ‘thaali’ as per the Kuchipudi tradition. Singer Lavanya Sundram sang along with the troupe.

Indian classical singer Shubha Mudgal started her performance with ‘bihag raag’. She sang compositions, including ‘Ho mayi aaj ke din mohe niko lagat’ and ‘Khelo nand laal sang aaj holi’ with ‘teen taal’. Danshwar Sunono accompanied the Padma Shri awardee on harmonium, Adish Pradhan on tabla and Nitin Joshi was the sound engineer.
