Multani Mal Modi College has won the Inter-College Cricket Championship (Women) held at Punjabi University, Patiala, by defeating LBS Arya Mehila College, Barnala.

Playing first, LBS Arya College team scored 45 runs by losing 3 wickets in 10 overs. In reply, Multani Mal Modi College won the match in three overs without losing any wicket at the strike rate of 250.

Modi College player Vanshika Mahajan got the best player of the match award for scoring 32 runs. She also scored 60 at a strike rate of 261 in the semifinal match of the tournament. Team captain Himanshi Saini also played very well. Other members of the team, Shruti Yadav and Aastha, displayed great skills. Other team members of the winning team were Ruhi, Surjeet, Kanwal, Ekmanpreet, Jaspreet, Lovepreet, Payal, Aradhna, Anju and Yashmeen. It is also worth mentioning that Multani Mal Modi College Women Cricket team has participated for the first time in Punjabi University Inter-College Cricket (Women) Championship.

College Principal, Neeraj Goyal and Sumeet Kumar, Dean (Sports) and Rohit Sachdeva, Dean (Academics) congratulated the winning team. The Principal also applauded the sincere efforts of Nishan Singh, Head, Sports Dept., Harneet Singh and Prof Mandeep Kaur.
