NCC celebrates Air Force Day at Punjabi varsity

NCC cadets of Senior Secondary Model School, Punjabi University, celebrated Indian Air Force Day (IAF), here today. NCC cadets Jatin and Mehak Sharma spoke at length on the structure and achievements of Indian Air Force. Students were apprised about valour, courage and sacrifice of Indian soldiers for the country.

The Senior Secondary Model School Principal, Dr Nirmal Goyal, told students about the importance of Air Force Day. He urged them to choose IAF as their career.

ANO Satvir Singh informed girl students that now even they can become fighter pilots in the IAF by joining the National Defence Academy after 12th standard.

On the occasion, Air Chief Marshall Arjan Singh, Air Commodore Baba Mehar Singh and Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon were also remembered by participants for their service to the nation.
