With 98.46 per cent, Manbir Kaur of Government Senior Secondary School, Toderpur, and Kushika of Modern Nabha Public Senior Secondary School are the joint district toppers in Class X exams of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB). Both toppers obtained 640 marks each out of 650.
Vaidhavi and Mehak of Play Ways Senior Secondary School in Patiala got second position in the district with 98.31 per cent marks. Komakshi Bansal of Modern Nabha Public Senior Secondary School finished at third spot with 98.15 per cent marks, according to the data released by the PSEB.

Patiala has performed very well in the board examinations. The difference in the pass percentage of the districts is very less. Of 23 districts, Patiala is at 22nd spot with a pass percentage of 98.73. Gurdaspur is at the top followed by Pathankot (second) and SBS Nagar (third). None of the students from Patiala featured in the top three positions in the state merit list.
When questioned about the poor performance of the district, Harinder Kaur, District Education Officer, said, “Patiala has performed very well in the board examinations. The difference in the pass percentage of the districts is very less. As the number of students who appeared for the exams from the district was high compared to the other districts, Patiala has got little less pass percentage.”
