To curb food adulteration during the festive season, the Health Department has collected 278 food samples so far. Three samples of “khoya barfi” and milk cake could not meet the specifications laid down by the Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
Health officials today collected five food samples from sweets shops on the Bhadson road. They destroyed 8 kg of sweets at Kohli Sweets as the product was found unfit for consumption.
