Patiala recovery rate 90%

With 101 fresh recoveries, Patiala today touched the 90 per cent recovery mark. Of 11,950 positive cases reported from the district so far, 10,714 patients have already recovered.

The Health Department said there were currently 891 active cases in the district.

The district has been witnessing a decline in positive cases for the past one week.

The district today reported only 52 cases. Of these, 42 were reported from a containment zone and hospital OPDs. The district also reported two Covid deaths, taking the toll to 345. The Patiala Civil Surgeon, Dr Harish Malhotra, said, “People should get themselves tested at the onset of flu-like symptoms. Any delay can prove fatal; therefore people should immediately go for testing.”

The Health Department issued a warning to private doctors, who have reportedly been encouraging residents to go in for self-medication.
