Punjabi varsity inks pact to bolster cyber security

In a significant move toward strengthening cyber security education and industry-academic ties, Punjabi University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC) Foundation.

The agreement was facilitated through the university's recently established 'Cyber Wellness and Security Centre'.

The MoU was signed by Davinderpal Singh Sidhu, Registrar of Punjabi University, and representatives of the ISAC Foundation, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Jagdeep Singh. ISAC is a nationally recognised non-profit organisation dedicated to cyber security awareness, skill development and cyber hygiene across India.

Vice-Chancellor Jagdeep Singh said the collaboration will provide students with industry-standard certifications, practical exposure and insights into real-time cyber threats. He asserted that today is the era of collaboration. Institutions must establish mutual rapport and work in synergy to produce better results, he added.
