Punjabi varsity VC takes charge
Two days after given the nod, Vice Chancellor Prof Karamjeet Singh today took over the charge of Punjabi University Vice-Chancellor (VC). He is currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University in Amritsar.
He was warmly welcomed by representatives of the teaching and non-teaching staff, led by Dean Academic Affairs Prof Narinder Kaur Multani and Registrar Prof Sanjeev Puri.
Prof Karamjeet Singh has been given the additional charge of the university for six months. The appointment of a full-time Vice-Chancellor for the Patiala university was pending since the completion of Prof Arvind’s three-year tenure in April last year.
Prof Singh reviewed the university’s operations during various meetings. He stated that Punjabi University has made significant contributions to the dissemination of education.
Prof Karamjeet Singh urged the officials to work with full determination and dedication to further elevate the administrative and academic standards of the university, so that the university’s prestige can be further enhanced.
