Patiala, June 13
Six more persons, including a nurse at the Government Rajindra Hospital here, tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday morning, taking the district tally to 158.
All the patients have already been shifted to isolation ward of the hospital.
It has been learnt that the nurse, 22, was working at the the emergency ward of the hospital and tested positive during random sampling.
The other five cases are one each from Patiala city, Samana, Nabha, Rajpura and Patran block.
Dr Sumeet Singh, district epidemiologist, said two of the patients had an inter-state travel history while the nurse was exposed to a positive patient.
Civil Surgeon Dr Harish Malhotra said there were 35 active cases in the district.
