Jagat Guru Nanak Dev Punjab State Open University (JGND PSOU), Patiala, observed World Cancer Day, under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Kamal Kishor Yadav by launching a social media campaign in collaboration with Rotary Club of Kapurthala Elite. The campaign that started on February 4 will continue till February 10 on social media handles of the university.

Rahul Anand, president, Rotary Club, Kapurthala Elite, said, “Cancer is a major public health problem worldwide. While new strategies and innovative methods to facilitate patient-centred intervention for prevention and management of cancer are available, awareness regarding the disease among public through social media can play a vital role in dissemination of information.”
