Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, in collaboration with Amar Jyoti Yuva Sangha, a two-day training programme was organised for sanitation workers of Mata Kaushalya Hospital. During the training, sanitation workers were provided information on personal hygiene, use of safety gear during work and necessity of safety gear.

Programme trainer Jasveer Singh explained various aspects that need to be taken care of at workplace. Different sessions were conducted during the training. The second session used videos to explain safety gear. The third session focused on the personal dignity of sanitation workers. The fourth session provided information about various government schemes.

During the training, nursing superintendent Daljit Kaur emphasised the importance of safety gear, highlighting the importance of keeping our bodies clean and getting regular check-ups. Manjit Kaur also spoke about the dignity of sanitation workers. Those sanitation workers who consistently used full safety gear during work were honoured.
