A three-member Vidhan Sabha Committee visited the city and took stock of the progress of development works in various areas.

The committee, comprising MLAs Ajitpal Singh Kohli, Neena Mittal and Kuljit Singh Nagra, discussed in detail actions taken based on the directives given during the previous meeting of the committee.

The members of the committee visited the site of the ongoing development projects in Patiala city such as the AC Market parking, canal-based water project, removal of encroachments, cleanliness, solid waste management, Abowal Dairy Project, Mid-Town Plaza of the Municipal Corporation.

They took feedback on the need to increase municipal revenue and putting power lines under the ground in the city. Other issues such as sewerage near market, roads, speeding up development projects were also discussed.
