Nakodar: The Nakodar Sadar police on Saturday arrested a PO, who had been absconding for the past many years. Investigating Officer Bakhshish Singh said:“The suspect has been identified as Jaspal Singh, alias Pala, a resident of Jallowal village, in Kapurthala.” OC

Mobile Phone seized from jail

Hoshiarpur: During an inspection at the Central Jail, a mobile phone was recovered from an undertrial on Saturday. In a complaint sent to the City Police, Assistant Jail Superintendent Rajkishore said: “During the inspection, one mobile phone was recovered from the undertrial Jaspreet Singh, alias Channa, a resident of Gokal Nagar, Hoshiarpur. The Thana city police have registered a case .” OC
