For Kanika Mann being bizarre is better than being over-groomed

Famous for playing the titular role in the series, Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega, Kanika Mann is rejoicing in her growing fanbase and popularity. Acting may have just happened to her, thanks to the modelling assignment back in college but she loves the craft and how. Punjabi movies and music videos, TV series and social media, there’s lots keeping her busy.

I think I’d say it is all trial and error. I like to experiment in life and try different things.

That’ll be the basics. Denim and white t-shirt, you can never go wrong with it.

Diljit Dosanjh and Sunanda Sharma. Simply love them.

Vicky Kaushal.

Exotic place where you want to hang out with your date?

I’ve been wishing to go to Santorini in Greece.

The most bizarre look that you have seen so far?

I am okay with bizarre actually… I don’t like the usual.

What turns you off?

I think the smell. One should smell good. Also, on the turn-off list are people who are over groomed because I like people with flaws. I am sure it would sound weird to some but that’s me.

Accessories that you can’t do without?

I am not much into accessories, so there’s nothing that I cannot do without. I keep it plain.

Your fitness mantra?

I am blessed with good metabolism and genes, so I don’t have to do much for physical fitness. I eat well. But I really care for my mental fitness, I try to be positive, stay happy and surround myself with the same kind of company.

Any inclination towards sports?

Inclination, yes. Experience, no. I like to play but I don’t know any sport that well. Whenever I try it, I get embarrassed and come back home.

Traditional attires that you love?

All of them. I love traditional wear. Suits are my favourite. I have around 300 Punjabi suits.

How do you unwind yourself?

I come home and take a really long bath with loud music. And that’s therapeutic for me. It’s like being fresh with the same morning energy even at the end of day.

Your prized possession?

My fans!I have been working hard for 5 years just to earn them. I remember praying for 1k followers, then 10k followers, then 100k then a million and so on. I remember the journey and I feel so blessed and grateful for each one of them.

If not acting, then?

I would have been delivering justice. I have a masters in law and wanted to go for the judiciary but me destiny got my here.

Street smart vs brand freak?

I am a little brand freak and that’s because I am bad at choosing things. So, I like to go to the brands that have lesser choices .

You never leave home without?

Phone. It has become a necessity these days.

Current favourite attire is?

Boyfriend jeans and extra-large T-shirts.
