Malout: Residents of Krishna Nagar, under the banner of Krishna Nagar Welfare Committee, on Monday lodged a protest in their locality against the alleged prevalence of drugs. The protesters claimed that 'chitta' (synthetic drug) has so far claimed four lives in their locality. "We will shortly submit names of drug peddlers to the police. The state government has so far failed in controlling the drug menace," said Rakesh Grover, a local resident. TNS

Muktsar: Two constables of the Muktsar police, Samandeep Kumar and Gursewak Singh, who left city for Kanyakumari on bicycles on October 15, successfully completed their journey on November 15.
