2 youths killed as car rams into bike in Faridkot

Two youths died after a speeding car collided with their motorcycle here on Tuesday. While the police have impounded the vehicle involved in the accident, the driver reportedly fled the scene and remains absconding.
According to preliminary reports, the victims were riding their motorcycle when a rashly driven car hit them. Passers-by rushed to the spot and shifted the critically injured youths to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared them brought dead.
On receiving information, a police team reached the spot and took possession of the vehicle involved in the accident. A senior police official said a case had been registered under relevant Sections of the law.
“The car has been seized and a manhunt has been launched to trace the absconding driver, who will be arrested soon,” the official added.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination.
