Abohar: The police on Tuesday claimed to have seized 250 kg of poppy husk and arrested Sangrur residents Manjit Singh, Babu Singh and Chhinderpal Singh under the NDPS Act. Investigation officer Ram Prasad Verma said a truck (PB 04N 9852) was intercepted near bus stand at Dudhvakhara village on Monday. On a search, the police detected 10 bags of poppy husk hidden under the bags of pulses that were uploaded somewhere in Madhya Pradesh to deliver in Sangrur district. The accused belonged to Harigarh and Ghabdan villages of Sangrur. oc
