3 Abohar men booked for 'sexually abusing' SC woman

Three residents of Bodiwala Pitha village, about 20 km from Abohar, have been booked for allegedly sexually abusing a 25-year-old Scheduled Caste woman, who was living in a rented room in Sriganganagar, 40 km from here.

Based on the statement given by the victim, the case is being investigated by a gazetted officer. The police have got the victim's medical checkup done. Her detailed statement is being recorded.

The victim told the police that she used to go to meet her sister in Bodiwala Pitha, where she became friends with Robin, who promised to marry her.

She said in November last year, Robin came to meet her at Sriganganagar and forced her to have a physical relationship. A few days later, he came again with two friends, Surinder and Sumit. Robin went to the market leaving both of them in her room. She alleged that both, who had a weapon also, raped her. 

She further said she went to stay with her stepmother in Jaipur a few days later. Robin reached there too, and kept exploiting her for three months and made obscene videos as well.

Police quoted the victim saying that Robin had posted some of his photos on social media and also threatened to make her videos viral. The police said the investigation was on.
