45-day Rajasthan feeder canal closure for relining work

Punjab has informed Rajasthan that the Rajasthan feeder canal of the Indira Gandhi Canal Project (IGNP) will remain closed from March 20 to May 3 to carry out the second phase of relining work.

The 1.5-month closure is intended to complete construction of remaining canal sections in Punjab. Officials said the period could be extended by up to 60 days, if required.

THE TRIBUNE is free, objective, and independent. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language, are the hallmarks of the paper.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
