After the failure of the police in getting any clue about two missing siblings of Kheri Gandian village of the district even after eight days, the family members said they were not satisfied with the investigations.

They said any information about the development in the probe had not been shared with them by the police. Didar Singh, father of the missing siblings, said they were not being informed by the police about the ongoing investigations.

While talking to The Tribune, he said, “We don’t know what they are doing. We are not informed about the investigations. Today is the eighth day and still we know nothing about our children.”

The family members also raised questions about the efficiency of the police. Though the police on Saturday morning recovered the body of a child from the Narwana Branch of the Bhakra canal, the family has not identified the body.

A board of doctors today conducted the postmortem of the unidentified body. They have taken samples for DNA test.

Meanwhile, Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia on Tuesday met the family members. After meeting them, he said he would raise the issue in the Vidhan Sabha. He was accompanied by SAD MLA Harinder Pal Chandumajra, SGPC member Surjit Singh Garhi and Akali leaders Harpal Juneja and Surjit Singh Rakhra.
