In the elections for the posts of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of the Block Samiti Faridkot, Sarabjit Singh of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was elected Chairperson, while Lakhwinder Singh of the Congress was chosen as the Vice-Chairperson on Friday.

According to official information, 13 out of the total 21 members of the Block Samiti attended the meeting. The attendees included three members from the AAP, nine from the Congress and one member from the BJP. All eight members belonging to the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) boycotted the meeting.

During the session, the members present unanimously agreed on the selection of candidates for both posts.
