Abohar, September 21

The Abohar Municipal Corporation has increased its budget for development works from Rs 27 crore to Rs 101 crore for the current financial year (2021-22).

Mayor Vimal Thatai said at a meeting held at the MC Town Hall, the budget had been increased to Rs 101 crore from Rs 27 crore last year. This increase comes from the sale proceeds of the government property, which earned an income of about Rs 70 crore. The proposed budget of about Rs101 crore for development works in the year 2021-22 will prove to be a boon for the city, he said. — OC
