Abohar native Sunil Yadav shot dead in California, Rohit Godara claims responsibility

Sunil Yadav, alias Goliya, a native of Waryam Khera village in Abohar, was shot dead in California, US. Rohit Godara, a notorious criminal from Rajasthan affiliated with the Goldy Brar group, claimed responsibility for the murder in a viral social media post. Godara alleged that Yadav was involved in the encounter killing of Ankit Bhadoo, a gang member, and that his murder was an act of revenge.

Yadav, a fugitive, was wanted in a 1 quintal 20 kg heroin smuggling case registered against him in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. He had reportedly fled to Dubai on a fake passport and later moved to America. Yadav’s father, Pawan Kumar, was an Indian Postal Department employee, but Sunil had no contact with his family for several years.

The National Intelligence Agency had raided Yadav’s native house multiple times, and he was considered a key player in drug smuggling from Pakistan. The social media post attributed to Godara accused Yadav of conspiring with the police to kill Bhadoo and of involvement in drug trafficking. Godara warned that his group would target anyone involved in Yadav’s activities, regardless of their location.

The post read: “Sunil had got our dearest brother Ankit Bhadoo killed in an encounter with the help of the Punjab Police. We have taken revenge for that, and whosoever is involved in this, will be held accountable. They have made the youth of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan fall prey to drug addiction. They sell drugs in connivance with the police. They were involved in 300 kg of drug smuggling in Gujarat.”

The post further added, “When everyone came to know that he was involved in the encounter of Ankit Bhadoo, out of fear, he fled to America with the help of the police. On reaching there, he started spying on our brothers. So, here’s a warning for all our enemies, “no matter which corner of the world you go to, we will catch hold of you”.
