Health Minister Balbir Singh on Tuesday said there was no need for a CBI probe against into the suicide case of warehousing corporation official Gagandeep Singh Randhawa and the action against former minister Laljit Bhullar demonstrated his government’s commitment to transparency and accountability

“The former minister was arrested hours after the FIR against him, and the investigation in the case is in progress, he said talking to a section of the media at Patiala on Tuesday. He maintained that the Punjab Government was fully capable of conducting a fair and impartial probe.

“The state government has already taken immediate action. Investigations will be conducted impartially and strictly according to law. There is no need for a CBI probe,” he said.
