Actor-turned-politician and BJP Lok Sabha Member from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh had to face the protest of farmers. Kishan had come for the shooting of a film at a nearby village here today. Following the protest, Kishan, along with other members of the unit, left the spot.
It was around 10 am when preparations for the shooting of the movie were being made at the house of a sarpanch at Dhangrali village near Morinda. The youth of the village got information about it and they reached the spot and started raising slogans in favour of farmers’ agitation.
A protester, identified as Randeep Singh, said they would not allow any politician to enter their village till the demands of farmers were accepted. Soon, a police party led by local SHO Baljinder Kaur reached the spot.
The SHO said she received a security programme of Ravi Kishan in the morning. On reaching the spot, however, it was noticed that he was there for the shooting of a film. When documents pertaining to permission for shooting were asked from the director, he could not produce it and they were asked to leave, the SHO added.
