ADC reviews preparations for district-level Republic Day celebrations in Kapurthala

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala (General) Navneet Kaur Ball reviewed the preparations for the district-level Republic Day celebrations during a meeting with officials of various departments at the District Administrative Complex in Kapurthala. The district event will be held at Guru Nanak Stadium, where Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal will unfurl the National Flag on January 26.

Addressing the meeting, the ADC directed all concerned departments and officials to perform their assigned duties with sincerity, responsibility and commitment to ensure smooth and dignified conduct of the celebrations. She informed that rehearsals for the Republic Day parade will commence from January 19, while the full dress rehearsal is scheduled for January 24.

The celebrations will feature an impressive march past by Punjab Police, paramilitary forces and NCC cadets. Students from various schools will present physical training displays and cultural performances highlighting themes of patriotism and national unity. The event will also include tableaus showcasing the development and progress achieved by different government departments.

Senior officials and staff members from multiple departments were present during the review meeting.
