Fatehgarh Sahib, April 22
The Punjab and Chandigarh College Teachers' Union (PCCTU) has demanded that teachers should be allowed to work from home to safeguard the staff from Covid-19.
In a letter to the CM, PCCTU state president Vinay Sofat said the government should direct the Education Department to allow work from home to prevent the spread of pandemic. Prof Bikramjit Singh, president of PCCTU, Fatehgarh Sahib and Patiala districts, said at present, the teachers were conducting online classes from the colleges. — OC
